Kids Above All is seeking a full-time Child Welfare Clerk at our Cottage Grove location.
Job responsibilities:
- Responsible for the completion of a full range of paraprofessional work completing various Child Welfare clerical activities by providing assistance to Child Welfare Case Managers, clients, client families, and other involved parties.
- Schedules required appointments for doctor visits, family visitations, child and family team meetings, etc. Follow-up as needed with all involved parties.
- May include coordinating referrals to other program areas, service providers, and the courts, assisting in problem resolution.
- Interviews clients and their families and report’s findings, which may affect medical, financial, tribal affiliation, and psychiatric care and treatment plans, as assigned.
- Performs administrative support tasks and other related duties to include general office duties, inputting case documentation, compiling social and economic data, scheduling and assisting in meetings with clients, parents, and other involved parties, securing needed documentation like birth certificates, licensing paperwork, and documents needed for court, completing placement change paperwork, subsidies, obtaining required signatures, etc.
- Advises clients of available child welfare services and resources; provides specific program information to clients and may refer to community resources for assistance.
- Assists CWS in providing case management in client meetings, obtaining other services such as day care or medical care; coordinating activities with law enforcement; courts, and other entities.
- May assist in advocating for client(s) in obtaining services; maintains communication among the client, providers, client’s family, and others; may assist clients in achieving individualized service plans.
- Securing receipts and other documents for billing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Six months of experience with general office clerical work; in social service environment preferred but not required.
- High school diploma required
- Valid Driver License
- Working Insured automobile
