Kids Above All is seeking a full-time Group Home Supervisor at our Lisle, IL Group Home location.
Job Summary: Provide day-to-day management of assigned group home and/or transitional living program; supervise and coordinate job related activities of staff and ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
Essential Functions:
- Provide ongoing supervision and monitoring of all assigned staff, volunteers and interns.
- Ensure proper staff coverage of homes including scheduling staff, ensuring back-up coverage when necessary and coordinating services.
- Ensure orderly maintenance of home assuring the physical, emotional, and medical needs of residents are met, also responsible for ensuring the facility is adequately maintained.
- Assist the director and associate director in enforcing and maintaining consistent policies, procedures and practices.
- Recommend policy changes when appropriate.
- Assist in the development and/or re-writing of policies, training manuals, etc., consult with director when making critical decisions affecting staff and residents.
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, staffing, and other meetings or conferences, as necessary.
- Monitor client database and Medicaid billing requirements and staff productivity.
- Perform administrative duties including completing reports, data entry, scheduling, etc., serve as surrogate parent for clients.
- Manage and monitor house budget.
- Acts as a liaison to community, schools, families and other external sources and stakeholders.
- Participate in marketing and public relation activities as needed.
- Actively participate in CQI initiatives and activities.
- May assume additional responsibilities in the absence of key positions such as the Director, therapist, etc.
- Other duties as assigned to fulfill the mission of the program and the agency.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or, or similar degree from an accredited university.
- 3-4 years recent experience in a residential or like facility and at least 1-year supervisory experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of staff and maintain a high level of confidentiality required; must be team-oriented
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word and other relevant software required.
- Must demonstrate independent and sound decision-making and judgment always maintaining what is in the best interest of Kids Above All.
- Must be willing to travel as needed and meet all other DCFS employment requirements including Child Welfare License.
- Must have access to insured automobile ad maintain a valid driver’s license.
