Kids Above All is seeking a Family Resource Specialist for our Chicago-South location.

Job Summary:

The Family Resource Specialist understand the case management services/procedures for children and families in regular, specialized or home-of-relative foster care programs. Recruiting for placement within our department, cold calling, investigations and working with cases throughout the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review case files.
• Schedule meeting with children and foster parents.
• Prepare, maintain and provide documents and reports of cases.
• Refer clients to services and monitor progress in services.
• Recruit for placement.
• Investigate cases
• Complete data entry into client management systems.
• Consult and review cases with supervisors.
• May recruit, study and license foster homes.
• Work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to do what is in the best interest of the child/family.

We are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Service, Psychology or similar degree from an accredited university.
• Passing of all DCFS required examinations and certifications including the DCFS Child Welfare Licensure is preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license, access to an insured automobile and acceptable driving record
• Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships

Must have a good driving record and willingness to travel. This position requires traveling to different site locations, court and home visiting.

Range for Bachelors Degree: $50,050- $56,600.

Range for Masters Degree: $54,550- $66,550
